Call (352) 714-5228Marion County is live oak and laurel oak country, with longleaf and slash pines on the sandhills. Those trees make Ocala what it is. They also drop limbs on roofs, fences and pool cages when a tropical system comes through.
Laurel oaks are the problem child. They grow fast, rot from the inside around 50 years old and break apart in wind. Live oaks are tough but heavy, and long limbs over houses need weight taken off. We take down trees that need to go, trim the keepers and clean up after storms.

What Ocala Trees Deal With
Hurricane season. Tropical systems crossing the peninsula bring hours of wind and rain. Ocala is inland, but storms like Irma in 2017 and Ian in 2022 still dropped trees all over the county.
Sandy soil. Roots in sand don't anchor as well when soaked. Big oaks and pines can tip over root and all.
Lightning. Central Florida is one of the most lightning-struck places in the country. Tall pines take hits and die slowly over the following months.

Questions we get a lot
What areas do you serve?
Ocala, Belleview, Dunnellon, Summerfield, Silver Springs Shores, Marion Oaks, On Top of the World, Anthony, Citra and nearby areas. That's most of Marion County, from the Rainbow River side in the west to Silver Springs in the east. If you're unsure, call with your address.
How do I get an estimate?
Call (352) 714-5228 or use the short form. We'll look at the tree in person and give you a written price. Photos with the form help us bring the right equipment.
Are estimates free?
Yes. We come out, look at the tree and what's around it, and give you a written price at no charge. That includes pool cages, fences and roofs nearby, which affect how the tree comes down.
Do you remove laurel oaks?
Yes. They're our most common removal. Laurel oaks are common across Marion County, and UF/IFAS describes them as relatively short-lived trees that often decay as they age.
When should I trim before hurricane season?
Late winter through spring. Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, so trimming before June leaves time to thin canopies and take dead limbs off. It also avoids the busiest storm months.
Do you top trees?
No. Topping causes weak regrowth that breaks easily in storms, and UF/IFAS advises against it. We thin and reduce with proper cuts instead.
Limb down or a lean you don't like?
Call or send the form. We'll look at it in person and give you a written price before any work starts.
