Need a Tree Down in Ocala? We'll Take It Down Without Hitting the House.
Maybe it's a laurel oak with a hollow trunk, a pine that took a lightning hit last summer, or a big oak leaning toward the pool cage.
Roped down in pieces near structures, chipped and hauled, yard raked.
Call (352) 714-5228We'll check it in person, tell you honestly whether it needs to go, and give you a written price.
Typical price in Ocala: $500–$3,500
Most residential removals. Large oaks, crane work and trees over pool cages cost more.
How we handle tree removal
Most removals in town are not a matter of cutting at the base and yelling timber. There's a roof, a fence, a pool cage or a power drop under the canopy. So the tree comes down in pieces: a climber or lift takes limbs off and lowers them on rope, then the trunk comes down in sections.
Before anyone climbs, we walk the drop zone, look at the gate width, check for overhead lines and buried utilities, and decide whether it's a rope job, a lift job or a crane job. That decision drives most of the price.
Brush goes through the chipper, wood gets hauled or cut to firewood length if you want it, and we rake and blow the yard before we leave. Stump grinding can be done the same day.

Removing Trees in Marion County
Laurel oaks are the most common removal we do. They hit the end of their life around 50 to 70 years and rot from the center. Many were planted when neighborhoods like Golden Hills and the Highlands were new.
Pool cages and screen enclosures are everywhere here. A limb through a cage is expensive. We rig carefully over them.
Lightning-struck pines die slowly. If a pine has a strip of bark blown off and the needles are browning, it should come down before it gets brittle.
What this covers
- Hazardous & Decaying Tree Removal —
What moves the price
- Tree height, trunk diameter, and canopy spread (a wide oak weighs far more than a straight pine of the same height)
- What sits underneath — open lawn where limbs can be dropped vs. roping every piece over a roof, pool cage, fence, or power drop
- Equipment access — whether a bucket truck can pull into the driveway or we need a narrow-gate lift, climbers, or a crane
- Wood and brush disposal — full haul-off of heavy trunk logs vs. leaving firewood rounds stacked on acreage
- Whether you want the stump ground below grade and surface roots chased at the same time

Why homeowners call us
- We actually answer the phone — or call back the same day.
- We look at the tree and yard access in person before quoting a real number.
- We tell you when structural pruning or weight reduction is enough instead of pushing a full removal.
- We lay down ground protection mats to protect your lawn, driveway, and sprinkler heads while we work.
- We rake up and haul off every branch and log before we call the job done.
What you can expect from us
Safe tree work comes down to rigging control, the right equipment for your yard, and a crew that respects your property.
We lower heavy limbs on ropes over roofs, fences, and pool enclosures instead of dropping them blind, and we clean up the yard before we leave.
If something doesn't look right when we're done, walk the yard with us before we pack up the truck.
Questions we get a lot
Do I need a permit to remove a tree in Ocala?
Florida law limits local permit requirements for trees on residential property that pose a danger, and rules vary inside and outside city limits. We'll tell you what we know about your address, and you can confirm with the City or County.
Why do laurel oaks fall so often?
They grow fast and rot from the inside as they age, often without obvious signs outside.
Is stump grinding included?
It's priced separately so you can choose.
